The risks associated with Covid-19 spreading from animals to humans are no laughing matter anymore. A new mutated strain of the coronavirus has appeared at several mink farms in Denmark, and has already spread to more than 200 people. Initial attempts at controlling the disease have failed, making the government turn to desperate measures: despite huge blows to its fur industry, the complete mink population is about to be culled to avoid further cases.

Disposing of all these infectious animal carcasses is a process that will definitely require Denmark’s farmers and the local government to use the safest methods available. Rendering machines like the MOBILE AGRI Unit (a medical-grade equipment from a company called Celitron) could play an essential role in ensuring this new strain doesn’t go further than the country’s borders.
